Paid assessment + completion record

An optional service is being prepared for learners who want a separate assessment and a documented completion record.

Assessment, pricing, and completion-record details will be confirmed before enrollment opens.

Purchasing is not available. No credit or certificate is currently issued, and a future completion record would not by itself guarantee acceptance for professional requirements.

Meet the instructor

Benjamin Rondomanski

Benjamin Rondomanski has six years of experience as an inspector and materials technician. His work includes interstate highways, airports, refinery facilities, and landfill projects, including soil-bearing testing. He brings a field and materials perspective to the course’s documentation exercises.

Independent technical review is pending. The course remains a review edition.

The course outline

Six modules. One connected workflow.

Start at the beginning or return to the topic you need. Every module is open to read.

  1. Module 1 · About 10 minutes

Define the inspection record and establish its references

    • Define a documentation scope that matches an assigned civil construction activity.
    • Build a reference packet that distinguishes project requirements, observations, and decisions.
    • Identify missing authority or evidence without substituting an assumption.
    Read module 1
  2. Module 2 · About 12 minutes

Write field records that preserve observation, source, and chronology

    • Write time-bounded observations with identifiable locations and evidence bases.
    • Reconcile conflicting information without erasing the disagreement.
    • Document a later clarification while preserving the original observation's limits.
    Read module 2
  3. Module 3 · About 10 minutes

Trace a drawing conflict through the RFI and revision history

    • Assemble a focused drawing question using exact project references.
    • Distinguish a response from an issued revision and its distribution.
    • Keep historical references understandable as the working document set changes.
    Read module 3
  4. Module 4 · About 10 minutes

Build photo evidence that retains location, meaning, and uncertainty

    • Connect context and detail images to a specific asset and observation.
    • Distinguish visible evidence from metadata, annotations, and later clarification.
    • Correct a photo association while preserving the original and its history.
    Read module 4
  5. Module 5 · About 12 minutes

Connect delivery quantities, material identifiers, and review evidence

    • Keep shipment, receiving, movement, placement, and review records distinct but connected.
    • Identify duplicate records and unresolved quantity or lot relationships.
    • Prepare a material-document handoff that supports assigned review without implying acceptance.
    Read module 5
  6. Module 6 · About 12 minutes

Capstone: assemble and challenge the inspection evidence handoff

    • Synthesize drawing, observation, photo, and material records into one bounded handoff.
    • Distinguish resolved documentary questions from pending review or distribution.
    • Audit a summary for unsupported conclusions, missing links, and misleading chronology.
    Read module 6

Before you begin

Learning, review, and professional requirements.

General education for civil engineering, construction, and inspection teams. Project requirements and assigned professional responsibilities govern.

Reading these pages does not record completion or award a credential. The course remains under technical review; use it as a learning draft and consult the original references and requirements that apply to your work.

Do I need to pay to read the course?

No. All six modules, worked examples, and practice exercises are free to read without an account. The planned paid service is separate.

Can I claim PDH or CPD credit now?

No credit is awarded through this review edition. Pennsylvania licensure-credit eligibility and NICET recertification acceptance have not been established. Confirm any future offering against your own professional requirements before relying on it.

Can I print the modules?

Yes. Use the print control on a module page. Open its sample response first if you want to include it. Keep your practice responses in your own notes.
